First post of 2021 had to be about my new found love...the Almond Cow. Here's the back story. A little over a year ago I decided I was going to start making my own almond milk. Liko bought me the milk jars, nut bag, almonds, etc. It was such a long/messy process that after awhile I got over it. He must have missed having fresh almond milk for the week because for Christmas he got me the Almond Cow. I had never heard of it before and now honestly wish I had invented it. The Almond Cow is a plant based milk maker. If you're like us and prefer to make your own nut milk you need this. I'm not kidding, it's a game changer! It's so easy to use and leaves the mess to a minimum. Plus, you're helping the environment by keeping plastic or partially plastic containers out of our landfills. You're not limited to just making milk in the almond cow, which is another thing I love about it. Their website has recipes from Chai Lattes to Mojito's. (and we all know I don't pass up on a good cocktail) So far my favorite milk to make has been the CocoCash. It's a combination of coconut and cashews. I'm going to break it down for you below. Leave a comment on this post if you have the Almond Cow. I'd love to know your favorite recipes or if you decide to purchase it after this post! xx
+ 2/3 cup cashews
+ 1/3 cup coconut shreds
+ 3 dates (pitted)
+ 1-2 tsp vanilla
+ 1/4 tsp salt
1. Place all ingredients in the filter basket. Attach the basket to the top of the Almond Cow.
2. Fill Almond Cow base to the minimum line with water.
3. Plug it in and press the start button.
Check out their website for more recipes!
